Special Programs Issue

 Energy savings and convenience are the focus of our Salem Electric member programs. Included in the following is a short description of each program. Weatherwise

A residential weatherization program for customers with electric heat.

Security Lighting

For a monthly charge, pole mounted street lights and area lights can be installed and maintained by Salem Electric.

Compact Fluorescent Bulbs

High efficiency compact fluorescent light bulbs are sold at the Salem Electric office.

Water Heater Wraps

Electric water heater insulation wraps are installed at no charge.

High Performance Shower Heads

Free high performance shower heads and faucet aerators reduce hot water consumption.

Super Good Cents

Incentives for improving the energy efficiency in new residential construction projects.

Heat Pump Program

Loans are available for high efficiency heat pump installations.

Appliance Rebate Program

Rebates are available for qualifying refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, water heaters and tumble action clothes washers.

Energy Smart Design

Incentives for improving the energy efficiency of commercial buildings.

Average Pay Plan

Average monthly payments throughout the year make budgeting easier.

Automatic Payment Program

Salem Electric has a simple, convenient way to pay your bill automatically.

Member Assistance Program

Salem Electric has a heating bill assistance program for qualifying members.

With the ENERGY SMART DESIGN program, incentives are available to encourage the installation of energy-efficient measures.  Existing commercial buildings are eligible for a free detailed energy evaluation by one of Salem Electric's energy experts.  For more information call the Conservation Department at 362-3601.
