Compact Fluorescent Bulbs

High efficiency compact fluorescent light bulbs are sold at the Salem Electric office.

Who is eligible: All Salem Electric customers.

These screw-in compact fluorescent light bulbs use approximately one-quarter of the energy and last an estimated 10 times longer than an incandescent bulb with comparable light output.

 A brochure including costs, the best applications and savings is available at the Salem Electric office.

Recycling

The Salem/Keizer Recycling Transfer Station, located at the Gaffin Road exit off Highway 22 is an approved recycling facility.  They will take your used compact fluorescent bulbs (limit 10 per household), Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. (except holidays). For more information call 503 588-5169.
