WeatherWise Homes A residential weatherization program for customers with electric heat Who is eligible: All Salem Electric single and multi-family residential customers (owners or renters) with permanently-installed electric heat. The electric heating system must be the only heat source, excluding wood heat. Free energy audits identify eligible weatherization measures. Projects must be pre-approved by Salem Electric. Certified contractors install weatherization measures. Salem Electric staff inspects all installed measures. Cash incentives and low interest loans are available for installing cost-effective energy saving measures. They have also signed an agreement requiring all work be installed to meet our strict installation standards.
