As the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) increases, Salem Electric is committed to ensuring system reliability and creating programs that benefit our members. To better understand the charging habits of our members, we need your help! If you drive a battery electric vehicle (BEV) or a plug-in hybrid (PHEV), we want to know so we can better meet your charging needs.
Incentive Details
Register your EV with us and receive a $50 bill credit!
Eligibility:
- Membership: You must be a Salem Electric member.
- Vehicle Type: Own or lease a BEV or PHEV registered at your service address.
- Exclusions: Low-speed neighborhood vehicles such as golf carts or GEM vehicles do not qualify. Members already enrolled in our EV charger program and who received our electric vehicle charger incentive are not eligible.

Electric Vehicle Charger Incentive
Salem Electric offers a $500 incentive for residential members who purchase and install a ChargePoint Home Flex (Level 2) electric vehicle charger at their residence.
Incentive Details
Receive a $500 incentive!
Eligibility:
- Membership: Must be a residential member of Salem Electric.
- Charger Type: Only ChargePoint Home Flex (Level 2) EV chargers qualify.
- Installation Location: Must be installed at the member’s residential address.
Installation Timeline: Installation must take place within 60 days of the purchase date. - Wi-Fi Access: The charger must have access to Wi-Fi, and the member must acknowledge that Salem Electric will have access to their ChargePoint charging data to help identify future EV initiatives.
- Compliance: Installation must comply with applicable city, county, and state code requirements.
- Vehicle Type: The member must own or lease a battery electric vehicle (BEV) or a plug-in hybrid (PHEV).
- Incentive Limit: Only 1 incentive per member.
