Set your A/C to 78 Degrees
To save on your energy costs, most industry experts recommend setting your air conditioner to 78 degrees during the summer.
Consider Using a Fan
If 78 degrees feels too warm try using a fan. Fans use much less power than an air conditioner. Remember fans cool people (and pets), not rooms, so turn them off when no one is around.
Use Your Shades
Keep cool by using shades and blinds to create a barrier from the outside heat.
Open Your Windows
Take advantage of cool evenings and mornings by turning off your air conditioner and opening your windows.
Keep the temperature down in your kitchen by cooking outdoors or using a microwave instead of your stove or oven.
