Annual Audit Report
The 2020 audit report was accepted as presented. Salem Electric received a clean, unmodified opinion with no adjustments.
General Manager Tony Schacher reported that a facilities master plan for SE properties will be presented for Board review in the coming months. It will include structural and maintenance updates to our existing office space, additional covered areas to protect equipment, and a location on the east side of the river for material storage.
The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) is still in the rate making process for power and transmission for fiscal years 2022–2023. When the rate case is complete, BPA will inform Salem Electric of the impact.
An analysis of the timeline and the challenges from the February ice storm were presented to the Board. SE is in the process of working with Polk and Marion Counties and FEMA to prepare the necessary documentation to request reimbursement for some of the storm related expenses.
