Board Information
Capital Credit Refunds: The Board of Directors authorized payment of capital credit refunds for members totaling $2,555,823. This represents 5% of all outstanding credits and is a partial disbursement of the credits allocated in 2009. Processing of capital credit refunds will occur in October.
Board Policies: The Board approved revisions to the Remunerations & Fees policy to reflect the adjustments voted on at the July board meeting.
Eastside Property Purchase: The Board granted authorization to the general manager to initiate negotiations for the purchase of property located on the east side of the Willamette River. Tony Schacher outlined the cooperative’s objective of enhancing resiliency and emphasized the need for a facility for storing vehicles, equipment, and materials, as well as a payment kiosk for members.
General Manager's Report
Tony Schacher reported the purchase of a new electric vehicle using Oregon Clean Fuels Program funds. He also informed the Board that the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) is set to begin the formal residential exchange docket with investor-owned utilities regarding access to federal hydropower and provided information on the Beneficial Electrification League conference.
