Andrea Prince of West Salem High School has been selected as Salem Electric’s Student Director and will join the Board of Directors in September for the 2026–27 academic year.
Andrea is actively involved in a variety of school clubs, organizations, and athletic programs, while also dedicating time to volunteer service in the community.
Throughout the program, Andrea will attend monthly Board meetings, present a youth report, and participate in Board discussions. This unique opportunity will provide valuable firsthand experience
with the cooperative business model, electric utility operations, and the responsibilities of board governance. In recognition of her commitment and participation, Andrea will also be eligible for a scholarship.
Serving as Student Director will allow Andrea to further develop her leadership skills, broaden her knowledge and experience, and work alongside experienced community leaders. We are excited to welcome Andrea to the Board and are confident she will bring a fresh perspective, thoughtful insights, and positive energy throughout the year ahead.
