- Due to the volume of calls received during an outage, reaching us by phone may be challenging. Rest assured, even if we don’t hear from you, our advanced metering system alerts us promptly to power interruptions so that we can dispatch crews to the scene as soon as possible.

Outages During Wildfire Season
Salem Electric is not in a high-risk area for wildfires, but because transmission lines that supply electricity to Salem Electric cross areas that are high-risk, there is potential for the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) to implement a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) when hazardous weather conditions threaten their ability to safely deliver power. Wildfires can start suddenly and grow quickly, so it is important to be prepared and have a plan.
