Application for Membership
Salem Electric is a not-for-profit cooperative corporation that delivers electricity to their consumer-members at cost. To sign up for service, a completed membership application must be received by Salem Electric’s office two (2) business days prior to the requested service connect date. By accepting service from Salem Electric, you agree to abide by the bylaws, policies, and procedures of the cooperative.

Contact Salem Electric at 503-362-3601 during business hours to verify your identity through an online verification process and complete the application online.
Complete application, sign, and bring in-person to Salem Electric with government-issued photo ID.
Complete application, verify identity with a notary and return the original application to Salem Electric.
